Ingredients:

  • 3 cups cut okra
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 ½ tablespoon Gram flour (besan)
  • 1 teaspoon cummin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon coriander (dhane) powder
  • 1 tablespoon dry mango (amchoor) powder
  • 3 tablespoon oil
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric (haldi) powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt as per taste
  • cilantro for garnishing

  1. Wash and completely dry okra and cut it into thin long slices.
  2. Cut onion into thin slices.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
  4. Add onion slices when cumin seeds start sizzling. Saute for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add salt, turmeric, red chili powder, dry mango powder, and coriander powder.
  6. Saute for a minute.
  7. Add cut okra to the pan and mix it properly.
  8. Add gram flour to the pan and let it cook till okra is done.
  9. Garnish with cilantro.
